Dr Wei Yang joins NLA’s New London Sounding Board

30 Jan 2023

Dr Wei Yang has been invited to join the New London Architecture (NLA)’s New London Sounding Board.

NLA is London’s community for the built environment, with a wide-ranging membership that spans policymakers, professionals and the public. The New London Sounding Board was first established in 2011 and brings together the most senior urban leaders to provide a leading cross-disciplinary voice on the key issues that affect London and the profession. The Board was first chaired by Michael Cassidy from 2011-2015, followed by Robert Evans from 2015-2022. The current Chair is Sadie Morgan.

From January 2023, the New London Sounding Board will sit as arbitrators of the New London Agenda, driving its direction, and taking soundings on ideas and evidence for inclusion. The New Urban Agenda is a multi-year project that sets a vision for the future of London and its built environment, presenting the top issues that need to be tackled over the next London political term, and the best new ideas and solutions that will deliver New London of the future.

Dr Wei Yang said: "I am delighted to be invited to join the New London Sounding Board which will act as the arbitrator of the New London Agenda - it is a crucial moment for us to engage with London communities to shape a better future for everyone. I look forward to working closely with Sadie and other colleagues to deliver this important initiative."
