Wei Yang & Partners signed a major framework agreement with Xuzhou at UK-China Regional Business Summit in Birmingham

Led by UK Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills, the Rt Hon Sajid Javid, MP, and the Chinese Minister of Commerce, Mr Gao Hucheng, the UK-China Joint Economic and Trade Commission (JETCO) is a dialogue that addresses the wider trade and investment agenda between UK and China in Government to Government talks.

On Friday 26 February, the first JETCO event in the year, UK-China Regional Business Summit, took place at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Birmingham.

At the summit, Wei Yang & Partners signed a major framework agreement with Xuzhou Land & Resource Bureau to co-operate on Xuzhou Historical Yellow River Corridor Urban-rural Integrated Development Project.

Xuzhou, a city with 1.2 million population, is located in the core area of fast developing Chinese Central Economic Development Zone. The project will develop an integrated strategy on land use planning, urban-rural spatial planning, economic development, nature environment and historical heritage protection, eco-tourism development, and primary infrastructure investment for the area.
