Jun Huang speaks at FLOAR Spring Talk about the interdisciplinary approach in design

23 Mar 2021

Jun Huang, Design Director of Wei Yang & Partners, gave a keynote speech at Friends of the Landscape Archive at Reading (FOLAR) today. Jun’s talk, “Cross Boundaries – the Interdisciplinary Approach in Design”, is part of the FOLAR Spring Talk Series : From the Contemporary Archive.

FOLAR is a lively Friends Group dedicated to raising the profile and use of the Landscape Institute (LI) archive and library housed at the Museum of English Rural Life (The MERL).

In his talk, Jun speaks about the need to break down boundaries and encourage an interdisciplinary approach. Sharing some similarities with I.M.Pei in terms of upbringing, cultural foundation, early career path and the approach towards design, Jun shares his thoughts on how landscape has inspired him as a designer and shaped his design philosophy in undertaking projects in a range of contexts. The talk is about new and innovative perspectives.
